At a Club Meeting at the beginning of January, the establishment of an Under Age Committee to deal with the School Boys/Girls
Teams was raised for discussion.
To move this forward with a firm view to put such a Committee in place, there is to be a further Meeting next Monday,
to be held in the Woodview at 8.00. The main purpose of this Meeting is to discuss the formation of the Committe and if there
is sufficient support and agreement on the night, to establish the Committee there and then.
The Committee is to have a formal structure of Chairman, Secretary (in place), Treasurer and representative Under-age
Team Manager. The Committees primary function would be the obvious one of promoting, managing and supporting the Under-Age
Teams within Innishvilla AFC and the Clubs available resources.
It is understood that such a Committee would require to be formally incorporated in the Club structure at an AGM. However,
the time between an end of season AGM and the start of the next season is minimal and such a Committee could achieve much
if up and running, even on a provisional basis, as soon as possible.
It is intended that there would be funds allocated specifically to the Under-age Committee though t he Club is financially
stretched in these difficult times, as are most Clubs, with little excess income available.
The Meeting is to be held with Club Chairman and Secretary approval.
If Under-age Team Managers and all interested Parents could attend it would be much appreciated. All are welcome in the
interests of under age players.
Proposed Agenda:
- General introduction and discussion on Committee structure, functions, aims, resources.
- Formation of Committee assuming sufficient support.
- Initial aims and work required.
- Under-age Committee date of next Meeting.
- Update on Club present finances and estimated possible income.
